Obituary of Clarissa K. Sorantino

Clarissa K. Sorantino, 87, of Cedarville passed away on Wednesday, December 9, 2020 at her home under the care of her family and hospice. The wife of the late Joseph A. Sorantino, Sr., she was born in Vineland and was the daughter of the late Elmer Bowman and Geraldine Vansteyn Bowman. She had been a resident of Cedarville for 68 years and had lived in Fairton prior to that. A homemaker, Clarissa was a dedicated “Farm Wife” and a dedicated mother to her family. In her younger years, she was an avid equestrian and had a deep love for horses. She had attended the Parish of the Holy Cross - St. Michaels Church in Cedarville. She is survived by her children, Joseph A. Sorantino, Jr. (Vanessa) of Cedarville and Flossie Ale (Rodney) of Hopewell Township; two grandsons, David Joseph Ale (Kimberly) and Brian Adam Ale (Aleksi); five step grandchildren, Frank DeVol, Anthony DeVol, Jan Albertson, Ashley Guise and Doug Sorantino; three great-grandchildren, Taylor Brooke Ale, Brayden Michael Ale and Cayden West Ale; two step great-grandchildren, Joey Albertson and Briana Albertson; three step great-great-grandchildren, Giavonna, Bella and Hosanna; five siblings, Patricia Bernadinni, Connie Lindley, Sherry Fisher, Elmer “Skip” Bowman and Corky Bowman. She was predeceased by a sister, Harriet Manetas, a brother, Douglas Bowman and a grandson, Denis Christopher. Private visitation and funeral services will be held at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway 77, Upper Deerfield Township at the convenience of the family.
