Glenn A. Russell, 90, of Bridgeton passed away on Wednesday, November 18, 2020 at Cumberland Manor in Hopewell Township. The husband of the late Doris Hickman Russell who passed in April of this year, he was born in Dividing Creek and was the son of the late Milton A. Russell and Luella Trout Russell. He had been a Bridgeton resident since 1951 moving there from Dividing Creek. Glenn had served his country as a veteran of the United States Air Force. Before his retirement in 1992, he had been a truck driver for LoBiondo Brothers Trucking in Rosenhayn for over 40 years. Glenn never met a stranger. He could strike up a conversation with anyone about anything. His happiest times were spent driving truck, working in his garden and spending time with his family. He loved taking his grandchildren on “the tour” of Dividing Creek and showing them places he remembered from his childhood. He was a member of Harvest Bible Fellowship Church in Upper Pittsgrove Township, Teamsters Local 676 in Camden, a Charter Member of the American Truck Historical Society and a member of the South Jersey Shore Chapter of the American Truck Historical Society. He is survived by his son David Russell (Fay) of North Carolina, his daughter, Debra Lawrence (David) of Stow Creek, grandchildren Rebecca Minton (Jason), Beth Buono (Anthony), Steven Russell (Amber), Matthew Lawrence- Evans (James) and Benjamin R Patterson (Dustin) and great-grandchildren Karey, Karter, Addison, Alexis, Anthony III and Olivia and several nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia or Ranch Hope. Graveside services will be held privately at the convenience of the family followed by interment at Dividing Creek Baptist Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, Upper Deerfield Township.
