Obituary of Arnaldo A. Ventocilla

Arnaldo A. Ventocilla, 69, of Upper Deerfield Twp. passed away unexpectedly at his home on Tuesday, September 29, 2020 Born in Bungoy, Dolores, Quezon, Philippines to the late Felicisimo Ventocilla and Pantaleona Amat Ventocilla, he was the husband of Erlinda Castillo Ventocilla. Arnaldo immigrated to the United States in May of 1990. He had been a resident of Upper Deerfield most of his life. Prior to his retirement in 2015, Arnaldo had worked in quality control at Seabrook Bros. and Sons for over 25 years. Before that, he had worked as a first mate on commercial shipping vessels based out of Panama for over 14 years. He had also earned a bachelor's degree in Nautical Science. He was a member of the Parish of the Holy Cross-St. Theresa of Avila Church in Bridgeton. In his free time, Arnaldo enjoyed cock fighting and traveling particularly on cruises with his wife, Erlinda and traveling to the Philippines to visit family. He is survived by; his wife, Erlinda Ventocilla of Upper Deerfield Twp.; his four children, Ehrico Ventocilla of Alabama, Christian Ventocilla of Seattle, Washington, Arland Ventocilla and his wife, Liezl of Egg Harbor Twp. and Rommel Ventocilla of Baltimore, MD; his siblings, Apollo Ventocilla, Arnulfo Ventocilla, May Ngui and Alina Caguicla and two grandchildren Ariella and Liam. The funeral liturgy will be celebrated at the Parish of the Holy Cross-St Theresa of Avila Church, 46 Central Ave. Bridgeton on Wednesday, October 7th at 11:30 AM. Interment will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery at Laurel Lawn. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 7th at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway 77, Upper Deerfield Township from 9 AM to 11 AM prior to the services. Due to current regulations associated with the Covid-19 healthcare situation, we are limited to 50 people within the funeral home at a time and the understanding and cooperation of the public is greatly appreciated. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Arnoldo's memory to the Parish of the Holy Cross, 46 Central Ave. Bridgeton, NJ 08302.
