Raquan De'andre Kersey, Sr., 20, of Franklinville, NC passed away unexpectedly at Moses/Cone Hospital in Greensboro, NC. Born in Woodbury to Billie Leemhuis File and Michael File, he was a Millville resident for most of his life. Raquan was raised in the Millville area but had lived in North Carolina since 2016. Raquan had been most recently employed at Taco Bell in North Carolina as a crew member. He had also worked as a fork lift operator at several factories. In his free time, he loved riding dirt bikes and quads, a hobby he loved since childhood. Raquan also enjoyed drawing and spending time with his friends. He had played football for Millville Midget League and Millville High School and enjoyed playing recreational basketball. He is survived by; his parents, Billie and Michael File of Bridgeton; his son, Raquan D. Kersey, Jr.; his siblings, Miah File, Romiello Kersey, Danaya Webster, Michael File, Jr., Mika File and M'kia File; his grandmother, Betty Moore; his grandfathers, Donald “Speedy” Moore and Johnnie "Pop Pop Rabbit" File and two nephews, Marshall Crump, Jr. and Marsiah Crump. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Hattie "Momma" File and three uncles, David Biernacki, Carl “Fats” File, Sr. and Samuel “Peanut” File. Funeral services will be held at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway 77, Upper Deerfield Twp. on Monday, September 21st at 12 Noon. Interment will take place at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Cedarville. Friends will be received at the funeral home from 10 AM to 12 Noon prior to the services. Due to current regulations associated with the Covid-19 healthcare situation, we are limited to 50 people within the funeral home at a time and the understanding and cooperation of the public is greatly appreciated.
