Arthur Luther Carter Sr, age 84, of Vineland, New Jersey, peacefully transitioned to be with the Lord on Friday evening August 28, 2020. Arthur was born in Springtown, New Jersey to the late Ivy Carter and Beatrice Carter on February 24, 1936. He was one of 13 Children. He went to Cedarville Public School. He was married for 40 years then widowed, his children are Arthur L. Carter Jr of Millville, NJ; Tee’ Rena Mason of Orlando, FL; Russell Carter Sr. of Atlanta, GA; Stephanie Kent of Millville, NJ. In 2019, Arthur lost his eldest son Nathaniel Langston originally of Port Norris, NJ. Arthur remarried in the summer of 2013. He married Bishop Yvonne Hickman, of Living Manna Int’l. He rededicated his life to The Lord Jesus Christ and received the infilling of The Holy Spirit. He enjoyed traveling to Christian Conventions and the plane flights. He was employed for 26 years at The Woodbine Developmental Center. He had an entrepreneurial spirit. Arthur had operated a lawn service for nearly 40 years. Arthur is survived by; three Sisters, Evelyn Strand of VA, Gertrude Denby of Vineland, NJ and Hazel Carter of FL two brothers, Robert Carter of Vineland, NJ and Sharpless Carter of Port Norris, NJ. Arthur leaves to Cherish in his memory; his wife of 7 years, Bishop Yvonne Carter; two sons; two stepsons; two daughters, six granddaughters; two grandsons and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Graveside services will be held at Laurel Lawn Cemetery, 170 Old Deerfield Pike, Bridgeton, New Jersey 08302 on Friday September 4th at 12 Noon. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, Upper Deerfield Twp.
