Luis A. Gonzales, III, 30, of Bridgeton died unexpectedly on Tuesday, August 4, 2020. Born in Bridgeton, he was the son of Brenda Dooley Gonzales of Bridgeton and the late Luis A. Gonzales, Sr. He had been a Bridgeton area resident most of his life except for a four year period he lived in Florida. He had been employed as a Debt Collection Agent with the Nexum Group in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida and was in the process of obtaining his real estate brokers license in New Jersey. Luis was an advocate for people with addictions and founded the support group “Each One Teach One” as a support system. An avid football fan, he had played for Cumberland Regional High School, Bridgeton High School and the Jaguars traveling football team as number “54”. In addition to his mother, he is survived by two sisters, Julonda Gonzales of Vineland and Danna Ale of Bridgeton; maternal grandmother, Mary Dooley of Deerfield; paternal grandmother, Rosa Morales of Vineland; a paternal aunt, Daisy Gonzales and five nieces and nephews whom he deeply loved. Funeral services will be held at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway 77, Upper Deerfield Township on Friday, August 14th at 12 Noon. Friends will be received from 11 AM to 12 noon prior to the services at the funeral home. Due to current regulations associated with the Covid-19 healthcare situation, we are limited to 50 people within the funeral home at a time and the understanding and cooperation of the public is greatly appreciated.
