Obituary of Jack B. Waltz

Jack B. Waltz, 93, of Fortescue passed away on Saturday, July 18, 2020 at the Eagleview Health and Rehab Center in Pittsgrove Twp. Born in Chester, PA to the late Harry Waltz and Lavanda Boyd Waltz, he was the husband of the late Doris M. Stack Waltz. Jack had been a resident of Fortescue since 1985 and prior to that he had lived in Prospect Park, PA. Jack was a veteran of the United States Navy serving during the second world war in the Atlantic and Pacific theaters. Prior to his retirement, he had been employed by the Westinghouse Corporation in Essington, PA. Jack was a 70 year member of the American Legion in Norwood, PA. He was also a member of the Fortescue Fire Department since 1985. Jack was an avid hunter and enjoyed playing golf. He was a member of the field and stream golf club. He is survived by; his son, Francis X. McAlpin of Ridley Park; three daughters, Elizabeth Micka of Tampa, FL. Doris Davison of Media, PA, and Margaret Cerato (Charles) of Pittsgrove Twp.; 22 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by; a son, Samuel McAlpin and two brothers, Stewart Waltz and Fred Waltz. Funeral services will be held at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway 77, Upper Deerfield Twp. on Wednesday, July 29th at 11 AM. Interment will take place at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Cedarville. Friends will be received at the funeral home from 9 AM to 11 AM prior to the services.
