Jesus Rivera Jr. was born on September 14, 1964, to Jesus Rivera Sr. and Gloria (Cardona) Rivera in Perrine, Florida. Jesus made his transition from earth to paradise on July 15, 2020. Jesus moved to New Jersey at a young age where he attend Vineland Public Schools. Jesus had several jobs, he worked at Trump Plaza as a security guard for many years. Jesus was employed at Rudco Products for 15 years as a welder. He then relocated to South Carolina and worked for Global Automotive Partners. His last employment was at Gorgo Pallets as a forklift driver. “Jr.” as we all affectionately knew him, had a lovable spirit. He was outgoing and truly unforgettable. To know Jr. was to love him. Jr. also loved to cook and wanted to see everybody happy. All the children in his neighborhood loved him and they would come and sit on the porch with him for hours talking. Jr. leaves to cherish his memory, his wife Yolanda (Nikki) Rivera, his mother Gloria (Cardona) Rivera, FL.; two brothers, Nicholas (Teresita) Rivera and Enrique (Carlota) Rivera; a sister, Carmen (Tony) Lopez of FL; a brother-in-law, Kyle (Teka) Jefferies, a grandmother; Willie L. Scott, two children: Gregory and Tanya Rivera of NC., seven grandchildren; Ethan, Alexia, Dominick, Reliana, Taryn, Oliver and Aurelia of NC., eight uncles; Luis (Maria) Cardona, Victor (Iris) Cardona, Benny (Brunilda) Cardona, Jesus Cardona, Eugene (Lucy) Cardona, Tito Cardona, Carlos (Pablita) Cardona and Willie Scott Sr., four aunts: Mary (Emilio) Luciano, Claudina Rodriquez, Sophia Rivera and Chevelle Williams, a father-in-law, Dewie Jefferies, two God-childre,: Twink as they affectionately called him and Kiyah Scott, a God-brother, Marshall Walker Jr. and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Jr. was predeceased by his father, Jesus Rivera Sr., his mother-in-law, Roberta Jefferies Gardner, grand-parents, aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of other relatives. Funeral services will be held at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway 77, Upper Deerfield Twp. on Thursday, July 30, 2020 at 12 Noon. Friends will be received at the funeral home from 10 AM to 12 Noon prior to the services. Due to current regulations associated with the Covid-19 healthcare situation, we are limited to 50 people within the funeral home at a time and the understanding and cooperation of the public is greatly appreciated.
