Obituary of Silvino Garcia

Silvino Garicia, 62, of Bridgeton passed away on Saturday, June 20, 2020 at the Jefferson University Hospital-Stratford. Born in Teococulico, Oaxaca, Mexico to the late Jacinto Garcia Ramirez and Francisca Perez-Ruiz, he was the husband of Maria Perez-Cruz. Silvino had immigrated to California in the early 1980's. He lived there for a few months before relocating to Bridgeton where he resided for the rest of his life. Prior to his retirement, Silvino drove a taxi cab for Go US Cab Co. in Bridgeton and he had driven previously for Chapulin Cab Co. and Jaylene Cab Co. Before that, Silvino had worked at Seabrook Bros. and Sons in Upper Deerfield Twp. for about eight years. He had attended the Parish of the Holy Cross-Immaculate Conception Church in Bridgeton. In his free time, Silvino enjoyed reading his Bible, playing the accordion and clarinet and spending time with his grandchildren. He is survived by; his wife, Maria Perez-Cruz of Bridgeton; five children, Gerardo Garcia of Mexico City, MX, Yazmin Garcia of Mexico City, MX, Jonathan Garcia of Mexico City, MX, Maria V. Garcia of Bridgeton and Yoselin Garcia of Bridgeton; six siblings and eight grandchildren. He was preceded in death by; his daughter, Laura Garcia and his brother, Enrique Garcia. Funeral services will be held at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway 77, Upper Deerfield Township on Friday, June 26th at 12 Noon. Interment will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery at Laurel Lawn in Upper Deerfield Twp. Friends will be received at the funeral home from 11 AM to 12 Noon prior to the services.
