Karen Ruth Jackson, 61, of Vineland passed away on Sunday, June 14, 2020 at Inspira Medical Center in Vineland. Born in Millville to the late Lloyd Badger and Anna Lee Vivian Harris, she was the wife of the late James Jackson, Sr. Karen had been a resident of Vineland for the past 22 years and prior to that she had lived in Buena Vista Twp. and Millville. She had been employed by the Salvation Army in Vineland for over 20 years. Karen had been previously employed at Harrah's in Atlantic City as a slot attendant for around 10 years. She had been a member of Faith Tabernacle Pentecostal Church, First Presbyterian Church in Vineland and First Baptist Church in Millville. In her free time, Karen loved to cook, watch movies and was fond of reading comic books. Most of all she loved to help people and gave a large amount of her time volunteering. She is survived by; four children, James Jackson III, of CA, Nataya Jackson-Smith of Houston, TX, Sasha Saunders of Cookville, TN and Sean Saunders of Hurlburt Field, FL; five siblings, James Badger of Trenton, Yusef Saleen of DE, Terri Badger-Beckles of GA, Virginia Badger-Mitchell of TX and Patricia Morris of Bridgeton and five grandchildren. Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by; two sisters, Gertrude “Mitzy” Badger-Cuff and Cynthia Badger-Taylor. Funeral services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
