Martha Ann Nash, age 79, of Cedarville, died Sunday, October 2, 2011 at the South Jersey Extended Care Facility after three years of declining health. The wife of the late Alfred Lee Nash, she was born in Norfolk, VA on September 24, 1932 to the late Hezekiah James and Janie Jackson James. She had been a resident of Cedarville for five years and had been a Bridgeton resident for over 70 years. Prior to that, she had lived in Virginia. She was a member of the New Hope Baptist Church in Cedarville. Surviving are: two daughters, Catherine Johnson of Jacksonville, FL and Jenny A. Brooks and husband Clyde of Cedarville; a son, Rickey McNeil of Bridgeton; a brother, Lawrence Brown of Bridgeton; three sisters, Rosie James, Arthea Floyd, and Laura Holley all of Bridgeton; and 12 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. She was preceeded in death by her husband Alfred Lee Nash; two sons, Edward Sanders and Nathaniel James; six brothers Charles James, Jessie James, William James, Ernest Jackson, Clarence Brown, and Donald Brown; and five sisters, Mary Kinder, Maggie Fowler, Anna James, Della McCoy, and Diane Brown. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, October 12, 2011 at the New Hope Baptist Church, 37 Schaffer Ave, Cedarville, at 1 PM. Interment will take place at the Cedar Hill Memorial Park in Hopewell Township. Friends will be received at the church from 12 Noon to 1 PM prior to the services. Arrangements are under the direction of the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, Upper Deerfield Township.
