Obituary of Sylvester "Pete" Hayman

Sylvester “Pete” Hayman, 92, of Bridgeton passed away on Monday, May 11, 2020 at the Cumberland Manor in Hopewell Twp. Born in Virginia to the late Clarence and Marie Hayman, he was the husband of Minnie P. Hayman. Pete had lived in Bridgeton for the past 50 years and prior to that he had lived in Port Norris. Prior to his retirement, he had been employed at Bechtel Power Co. on Artificial Island for many years. In his free time, Pete enjoyed junking and watching western movies. He was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church in Port Norris. He is survived by; his wife, Minnie P. Hayman of Bridgeton; four children, Elaine Adams, Luthair Adams, Faith Hayman and Kisha Smith; numerous foster children that he raised as his own and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by 18 brothers and sisters. Funeral services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
