Ida M. Van Note, 92, of Bridgeton passed away on Sunday, March 22, 2020. Born in Salem on June 17, 1927 to the late William Zanes and Estelle Press Zanes, she was the wife of the late George Van Note. Ida was a Bridgeton resident for most of her life. Prior to her retirement in 1993, she had been employed with the Cumberland County Office on Aging. Ida is survived by her two daughters, Dona M. Beach and Constance L. Kesler both of Bridgeton; seven grandchildren, Richard Willis of Bulls Gap, TN, George and Heath Willis of Bridgeton, Staci Surace and Michael Noble of Vineland, Denise Davids and Wade Ale of Bridgeton, 18 great-grandchildren and 18 great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Lucille Ann Zanes of Bridgeton and nieces Linda Toler of Mays Landing, Jessica Fordham and Priscilla Sheehan of Salem. She was preceded in death by a sister, Betty Mahan of Salem, a niece, Phyliss Zanes of Salem, a grandson, Scott Willis of Florida and a great-grandson, Joshua Rogue of Vineland. Private graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family at Overlook Cemetery in Bridgeton where the interment will follow the services.
