Obituary of Kenneth R. Brown

Kenneth R. Brown, 74, of Bridgeton passed away on Thursday evening, February 20, 2020 at Inspira Medical Center in Vineland. Born in Waynesville, NC to the late Rayford Brown and Ethel Parton Brown, he came to Hopewell Twp. in 1948 and was a Bridgeton area resident most of his life. Prior to his retirement, Kenneth had been employed a James E. Brown Nursery in Bridgeton and the former Asgrow Seed Company in Hopewell Twp. He had also managed the Shell Gas Station on Penn Street in Bridgeton. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force. In his free time, Kenneth enjoyed fishing, metal detecting, collecting coins and Native American artifacts as well as flower gardening. He was also a history buff specializing in the Civil War. He is survived by; four siblings, Barbara Casper of Bridgeton, L.C. Brown, Sr. (Darlene) of Hopewell Twp., Danny Moody of SC and Edward Moody of NC and many nieces, nephews and other family members. He was preceded in death by; six siblings, Bill Brown, Charles Brown, Carroll Brown, Anita Lowe, James E. Brown and Patricia Durham. Graveside services will be held on Thursday, February 27th at Fernwood Memorial Park, 794 Shiloh Pike, Bridgeton at 10 AM.
