Obituary of Athena R. Metzger

Athena R. Metzger, 22, of Glassboro passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, January 28, 2020 at Inspira Medical Center-Mullica Hill. Athena was born in Bridgeton and had lived in Glassboro for the past 10 months. Prior to that, she had resided in Vineland. Athena had been employed in customer service at the Days Inn in Vineland. In her free time, she enjoyed reading, playing the piano and crocheting. She had attended Fairton Christian Center in Fairfield Twp. She is survived by; her son, Charles D. Cuccinello; her fiance, Ean Cucciniello of Glassboro; her parents Vicki and Bruce Bittner of Vineland; six brothers and sisters, Michael Bittner (Carla), Jenee Bittner, Stephen Bittner (Anita), Jade Metzger, Corressa Johnson and Wayne Johnson; her aunts and uncles, Debbie Redman (Neal), Terri Bennett (Gary), Vonnie Collins (Dick), Rob Schofield (Beth), Renee Gonzales and Craig Metzger (Angela); her nieces and nephews. Tyler Bittner, Logan Bittner, Sophia Bittner, Elisha Bittner-He and Abisha Bittner-He and her great aunt, Denise Carey (Christopher). Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 4th at 11 AM at Fairton Christian Center, 199 Fairton-Millville Rd., Fairton. Friends will be received at the church from 9:30 AM to 11 AM prior to the services. Arrangements are under the direction of the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, Upper Deerfield Township.
