Emma L. Ware, 100, of Bridgeton passed away on Wednesday, January 22, 2020 at Genesis-Millville Center. Born in Norristown, GA to the late John Austin and Mary Jane Callner Austin, she was the wife of the late Lindsey Ware. In the 1940's she moved to Greenwich and later Bridgeton where she was a resident for most of her life. Prior to her retirement, Emma had worked as a self-employed housekeeper. She had also worked as a short order cook and at Garwood Mills. In her free time she enjoyed vegetable gardening including Collard Greens, Lima Beans and also many varieties of flowers. She was known to have a green thumb. She is survived by her son, Willie J. Young of Millville; three grandchildren, Angela Young of Williamstown, Linda Willis of NC and Faye Young of the Washington, DC area; two great-grandchildren, Gerald Willis and Rea Robbins; two special nieces, Mary Riddle of New Haven, CT and Mary Boyce of Wilmington, DE and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, David L. Young; a granddaughter, Loretta Robbins; a sister, Annie Stokes and a brother, Richard Austin. Private services were held at the convenience of the family followed by interment at Laurel Lawn Cemetery in Upper Deerfield Twp.
