Obituary of Frederick J Werkheiser

Frederick J. Werkheiser, 64, of Upper Deerfield Township passed away on Thursday, December 5, 2019 at his home under the care of his family and hospice.

Born in Bridgeton, he was the son of Lydia “Lady” Bender Werkheiser of Upper Deerfield Township and the late William J. Werkheiser. The husband of Sandra Uhland Werkheiser, he had lived in Upper Deerfield Township for 19 years and prior to that in Alloway and Bridgeton.

Fred was a veteran of the United States Army and served his country during the Vietnam Conflict. He was employed with English Sewage Disposal in Bridgeton and had also operated his own towing business at one time.

Besides being an avid gardener, he also enjoyed doing auto body and auto painting work and playing the guitar.

In addition to his wife and mother, Fred is survived by nine children, Joe Werkheiser, David Werkheiser, Tara Allen, Erin Abrams, Amber Werkheiser, Michael Aquilino, Nicole Stretch, Mandy Suthard and Kaitlyn Sawyer; two brothers, his twin, William E. Werkheiser (Shelley) of Fairton and Omar H. Werkheiser of Upper Deerfield Township along with several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway 77, Upper Deerfield Township on Wednesday, December 11th at 4 PM.
