Obituary of Joan C. Henry

Joan C. Henry, 72, of Deerfield Twp. passed away on Friday, November 29, 2019 at her home under the care of hospice and her family.

Born in Philadelphia, PA to the late Ernest Henry and Carmela Defamio Henry, she was a resident of Deerfield Twp. since 2005. Joan had been a Philadelphia area resident most of her life.

Prior to her retirement, Joan had worked in the accounting department of S&D Designs in Deerfield Twp. Throughout most of her career, she had worked in the newspaper printing industry spending many years at the North East Times in Philadelphia and she even published her own paper the Country Music News. Joan was a big fan of country music. In her free time she enjoyed photography, genealogy and most of all spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by; two daughters, Angela R. Colleluori of Morrisville, PA and Shannon Courtney and her husband, Brian of Deerfield Twp.; her son, John Colleluori of Shawnee, OK; two brothers, Ken Henry and his wife, Linda of Brookhaven, PA and Charles “Chip” Henry of Philadelphia, PA; eight grandchildren, Daniel, April, Lisa, Amanda, Thomas, Brianna, Alyssa and Kendall and two great-grandchildren, Ajay and Isabelle.

Memorial services will be held at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway 77, Upper Deerfield Twp. on Saturday, December 7th at 2 PM. Friends will be received at the funeral home from 1 PM to 2 PM prior to the services. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the Kelly Anne Dolan Memorial Fund, Founders Bldg., 580 Virginia Dr., Ste 110, Fort Washington, PA 19034.
