Obituary of Dorothy "Dottie" Spear

Dorothy “Dottie” E. Spear, 66, of Bridgeton, passed away Tuesday, September 24th, 2019 at Inspira Hospital in Vineland following an extended illness.

Born in Bridgeton to the late Horace Lewis and Sophronia Tweed Lewis, she was the wife of the late Ralph E. Spear. Dottie had worked as a crossing guard for the Bridgeton Public School District. In her free time Dottie enjoyed crabbing, fishing, horses, horse racing and anything related to the outdoors and nature.

She is survived by two sisters; Patricia Strittmatter (Daniel) of Vineland and Mary Mason of Upper Deerfield Twp; her beloved dog, Chelsea and several nieces, nephews and extended family. She was preceded in death by; her husband, Ralph E. Spear; both of her parents, Horace and Sophronia Lewis; two brothers, John Lewis and Horace G. Lewis and a niece, Alexa Strittmatter.
