Haru Holloway, age 94, of Erwin, passed away Tuesday, August 21, 2012, at the Unicoi County Memorial Hospital Long Term. He was a native of Yancey County, NC and a son of the late Moss and Lory Tolley Holloway. He was a Free Will Baptist Minister and working as a tree surgeon for many years. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife: Lucy Holloway, two daughters: Freda Lightfoot and Tracie Holloway.
Haru is survived by; four sons, Allen Holloway, Kyle R. Holloway and wife Carol, Johnny Holloway and wife Lucille, and Darrell Wayne Holloway; three daughters, Genevie Tucker and husband Horace, Janie Lynn Zimmerman and husband Rick, and Lorie Holloway, fifteen grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.
A Funeral Service for Mr. Holloway was held on Saturday, August 25, 2012, in the Chapel of Valley Funeral Home in Erwin, TN. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, August 29, 2012 at the Centerton Freewill Baptist Cemetery, Dealtown Road, Pittsgrove Township, at 1 PM. Interment will follow the services.
