Obituary of Justine Carver

Justine Carver, 93, of Hopewell Twp. and formerly of Fairfield Twp. passed away on Sunday, July 28, 2019 at Inspira Medical Center-Vineland after several years of declining health.

Born in Hartford, TN to the late Robert Woody and Pearl Laws Woody, she had been a Cumberland County resident for many years and had also resided in North and South Carolina.

Prior to her retirement, Justine had been employed in the housekeeping department at the former Bridgeton Hospital. Prior to that, she had been employed at the former Manheim Nursing Center in Bridgeton and Anchor Hocking Glass Co. in Salem. In her free time, Justine enjoyed spending time with her family and playing bingo.

She is survived by; her daughter, Marsha Shinn of Fairfield Twp.; two grandchildren, Brenda Martinez (Jose) and Robert Shinn, Jr.; two great-granddaughters, Danielle Bowman (Matthew) and Natasha Diaz (Samuel) and three great-great-grandchildren, Kaylee Diaz, Kaden Diaz and Samuel Diaz, Jr. She was preceded in death by; two brothers, Hubert Woody and Clayton Woody and two sisters, Geraldine Murr and Violet Wyatt.

Funeral services will be held at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway 77, Upper Deerfield Twp. on Friday, August 2nd at 11 AM. Interment will take place at Laurel Lawn Cemetery in Upper Deerfield Twp. Friends will be received at the funeral home from 10 AM to 11 AM prior to the services. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Justine's memory to the Cumberland Manor Activities Department, 154 Sunny Slope Drive, Bridgeton NJ 08302.
