Obituary of Grace K. Heckman

            Grace Katherine Heckman (nee Miller) age 92 years of Upper Deerfield went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 30th at home under the care of her family and Holy Redeemer Hospice.  Mrs. Heckman was born and raised in Northampton, PA and first moved to Bridgeton, NJ in 1965, where she served as a pastor’s wife to the late Rev. Earl Heckman for 23 years before retiring.  She was a devoted member of First Wesleyan Church in Bridgeton and enjoyed working with children and hospitality.  During her lifetime she along with her husband served in Wesleyan churches at Point Philllips, PA; Augustaville, PA; and Bridgeton, NJ.   Mrs. Heckman was known for her positive personality and selfless service.

            She is survived by her four children, Diane Leitzel (Jim) of Brooksville, Florida; Dennis Heckman of Millville, NJ; Douglas Heckman (Karen) of Bridgeton, NJ; Debra Csaszar of Pittsgrove, NJ; 11 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; and 12 great-great grandchildren.  Mrs. Heckman was predeceased by her husband, Rev. Earl Heckman, 2 brothers and 3 sisters.

            The Funeral Service will be held at 11 AM Monday, July 8, 2019 at the First Wesleyan Church, 200 Laurel Heights Drive, Bridgeton, NJ.  Relatives and friends may visit with the family after 10 AM Monday until service time.  Interment, out of state will be held on Tuesday, July 9^th at the Covenant United Methodist Cemetery in Bath, PA.  Contributions can be made in her memory to First Wesleyan Church, 200 Laurel Heights Drive, Bridgeton, NJ 08302.  Padgett Funeral Home in Upper Deerfield has been entrusted with the arrangements.  Memories can be shared at https://padgettfuneralhomes.com
