Obituary of Mark A. Rugenus

Mark A. Rugenus, 61, of Bridgeton died unexpectedly on Saturday, June 22, 2019 following injuries sustained in a bicycling accident.

Born in Bridgeton to the John “Jack” Rugenus and the late Julia “Jean” Masoryak, he was the husband of Patricia Digue Rugenus. Mark had been a lifetime resident of Bridgeton.

He had been currently employed by Ardagh Glass, Inc. (formerly Leone Industries) in Bridgeton for the past 12 years. He had been previously employed by Durrand Glass Co. and Wheaton Glass Co. both in Millville. Mark was a dedicated sports fan especially of the Philadelphia Phillies and Eagles and was an avid runner and bicyclist. Most of all, he enjoyed family vacations to Sea Isle City and spending time with his grandsons.

He is survived by; his wife, Patricia Rugenus of Bridgeton; his father, John “Jack” Rugenus of Bridgeton; two children, Kelly Battiata and her husband, Trent of Bridgeton and Mark A. Rugenus, Jr. and his wife, Michelle of Stow Creek Twp.; six grandsons, Trent, Jr., Drake, Kane, and twins, Colton and Bryce Battiata and Braiden Gould-Rugenus; two brothers, Michael Rugenus of Upper Deerfield Twp. and Jeff Rugenus of Bridgeton and a sister Tracie Miletta of Upper Deerfield Twp.

A memorial services will be held at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway 77, Upper Deerfield Twp. on Friday, June 28th at 3 PM.
