Thelma L. Wiltshire, 90 of Bridgeton, died at her home on Sunday, Aug. 26, 2012. The wife of John L. Wiltshire, Sr., she was born in Bridgeton and was the daughter of the late Louise Green. She had been a lifetime resident of Bridgeton. Mrs. Wiltshire had been employed with several local canneries. She retired from Hunt Wesson Foods as a floor lady. She was a faithful member of Mount Zion A.M.E. Church and had also been a member of the church stewardess board. She enjoyed word finds, spending time with her family and hard work. Besides her husband of 67 years, survivors include: her daughter-in-law, Arlene Wiltshire, Bridgeton; four grandchildren; Shannon Wiltshire, Bridgeton, Brandi Murray, Elmer, Lesly John Wiltshire, Vineland and Zachary Wiltshire, Bridgeton and seven great grandchildren, Tyria, Mylon, Jylon, Tiernny, Tayley, Tallen, Lailah and several nieces, nephews and other family members. She was preceded in death by her only son, John L. Wiltshire, Jr.; three sisters and one brother. Funeral services will be held in the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway 77, Upper Deerfield Township, on Saturday afternoon, Sept.1, at 1:00 O'clock. Burial will be in Overlook Cemetery, Bridgeton. A viewing will be held at the funeral home on Saturday between 12:00 and 1:00 O'clock, prior to the services at the funeral home.
