Obituary of Duilio Clemente

Duilio Clemente, 91, of Upper Deerfield Twp. passed away on Sunday, June 23, 2019 at the Cumberland Manor in Hopewell Twp.

Born in Adria, Rovigo, Italy to the late Lorenzo Clemente and Natalina Pavan Clemente, he was the husband of the late Valentina Ingegneri Clemente. Duilio had immigrated to Canada in 1955 before heading back to Italy in 1970. In 1980, he came to Upper Deerfield Twp. where he lived for the rest of his life.

Prior to his retirement, Duilio had been a self employed tinsmith and coppersmith at his own firm known as Clemente Bros. He had also worked as a security guard at the former Eatmor Grocery Market. Duilio was a member of the Parish of the Holy Cross-Immaculate Conception Church. In his free time, he enjoyed reading especially Italian Newspapers and most of all he enjoyed performing his craft of Tinsmithing and Coppersmithing. Duilio also enjoyed playing checkers and was a former champion.

He is survived by his children, Beatrice Terrigno of Upper Deerfield Twp., Lorenzo Clemente of Upper Deerfield Twp., Elena Byron of Kentucky, Laura Clemente of Upper Deerfield Twp. and Chiara Church of Newfield; four grandchildren, Vittorio, Isabella, Kaycee and Ben and two sisters, Teresa Clemente and Agnese Bertaglia both of Italy. He was preceded in death by his wife, Valentina Clemente; three brothers, Dino Clemente, Antonio Clemente and Giacomo Clemente and two sisters, Maria Cavallini and Antonia Gottardi.

The funeral liturgy will be celebrated at the Parish of the Holy Cross-Immaculate Conception Church, 312 N. Pearl Street, Bridgeton on Thursday, June 27th at 11 AM. Interment will take place at Overlook Cemetery in Bridgeton. Friends will be received at the church from 10 AM to 11 AM prior to the services. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made in Duilio's memory to the Alzheimer's Association, Delaware Valley Chapter, 399 Market Street #102, Philadelphia, PA 19106 or to Woodland Country Day School, 1216 Roadstown Rd., Bridgeton, NJ 08302.
