John Karkocha, 63, of Bridgeton passed away on Saturday, March 23, 2019 at Inspira Medical Center-Vineland.

Born in Bridgeton, to the late Tadeusz Karkocha and Josefa Paluch Karkocha, he was the husband of Suzanne Shultzaberger Karkocha. He was a graduate of Bridgeton High School's class of 1974 and was a lifetime resident of Bridgeton.

John was a Municipal Supervisor for Upper Deerfield Township. He was the former chief of Upper Deerfield Fire Station 33 for over 30 years. John also worked for the office of emergency management for several years.

In his free time, he enjoyed spending time with his family, riding his John Deere tractor, gardening and doing projects around the house. John was an avid Eagles fan and enjoyed spending time watching Nascar with his dog Oscar.

He is survived by his wife, Suzanne Karkocha of Bridgeton; a son, John D. Karkocha of Upper Deerfield Twp.; two step-sons, Keith Lebold and his wife Christine of Hopewell and Scott Benedetto of Bridgeton; three grandchildren; two brothers, Stan Karkocha of Upper Deerfield Twp. and Joe Karkocha and his wife, Kim of Upper Deerfield Twp. and a sister, Marie Burgmann and her husband, Joe of Upper Deerfield Twp.
