Obituary of Walter L. Hogate

Walter L. Hogate, 71, of Lower Alloways Creek Township passed away on Saturday, March 16, 2019 at Salem Medical Center.

The husband of Pamela Rich Girtain, he was the son of the late Woodnut G. Hogate and Zilphy Robinson Hogate. He was a lifetime Salem County resident.

Before his retirement, Walter had been employed at Mannington Mills with 34 years of service.

He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing and trapping and was a member and past president of the Buckhorn Sportsman's Club in Lower Alloways Creek.

In addition to his wife Pamela, he is survived by a stepson, Paul Kelly of Alloway and two step-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his first wife, Diane Claxton Kelly-Hogate.
