Obituary of Eleanor Brown

Eleanor Brown, 81 of Bridgeton passed away at the home of her daughter, Sonya with five generations of her family with her on Tuesday, March 12, 2019.

She was the wife of the late Willie Brown and the daughter of the late Martin Robinson and Eartha Mae Sulton Robinson.  She had been a Bridgeton resident for 40 years and had lived in Alloway Township prior to that. 

Before her retirement she had been employed with the Friends Home in Woodstown for 33 years. 

Eleanor was a member of St. John Pentecostal Church in Salem.  She often assisted her brother in the distribution of food to those in need through the Salem Food Bank and deeply enjoyed giving to others. 

Surviving are her five children, Willnette Brown of Millville, Al Brown of Bridgeton, Sonya Hall (Anthony) of Bridgeton, Darrell Brown of Bridgeton and Reginald Walker of OH, 20 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.  She was predeceased by two sons, Michael and Kenny Brown and her brother, Rev. Clayton Robinson.

Funeral services will be held at Union Baptist Temple, 29 Martin Luther King, Jr. Way, Bridgeton on Saturday, March 23^rd at 11 AM.  Friends will be received at the church from 9 to 11 AM prior to the services.
