Obituary of William F. Turner

William F. Turner, 60, of Buena passed away at his home under the care of family and hospice on Sunday, March 10, 2019.

 

The son of the late William R. Turner and Betty Lou Vineyard Turner he was the fiance of Marcia Pierce and had lived in Buena for two years.  Prior to moving to Buena he was a lifetime Newport resident.

 

Most of his working career Bill had been employed as a security officer for several area businesses including the J.C. Penney Department Store at the Cumberland Mall.  He was also proud to have held his boating captain's license for many years. 

 

He enjoyed traveling, camping, flying his drone, fishing and especially being on the water.

 

In addition to his fiancee, Marcia, he is survived by her mother, Catherine Pierce; Marcia's siblings, Cathleen Johnson (Robert),Marvin Pierce (Barbara) and Jeffrey Pierce (Alice); two special nieces, Charlene Johnson and Bianca Godfrey; his lifelong friend, Roy Blizzard and his beloved pets, Missy and Boots.

 

Graveside services will be held at Bill's request at Fernwood Memorial Park in Hopewell Township on Friday, March 15th at 2 PM where the interment will follow the services.  Arrangements are under the direction of the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, Upper Deerfield Township.  Written condolences can be sent to the
