Obituary of Augusto Javier Ramos

Augusto Javier Ramos, 56, of Bridgeton passed away on Thursday, February 28, 2019 at Inspira Medical Center in Vineland.

Born in Mexico City to the late Augusto Ramos and Juana Molina Ramos, he was the husband of Carmen Soriano-Mendoza. Augusto had been a resident of Bridgeton since 1999 and prior to that he had resided in Brooklyn, NY.

He had been most recently employed by Missa Bay in Swedesboro. In his free time, Augusto enjoyed cooking and tending to his garden. He was an avid fan of wrestling and the New York Giants. His family described him as a jokester who loved to make people laugh. Augusto was a kid at heart.

He is survived by; his wife, Carmen Ramos of Bridgeton; four children, Daisy Ramos, Tony Ramos, Javier Ramos and Joel Ramos; his sister, Victoria Ramos and her husband, Jaime Hernandez; two grandchildren, Tony M. Ramos and Jonathan A. Ramos and several other brothers, sisters and other family members. He was preceded in death by a brother, Leo Bardo Ramos.

The funeral liturgy will be celebrated at the Parish of the Holy Cross, Immaculate Conception Church, 312 N. Pearl Street, Bridgeton on Friday, March 8th at 10:30 AM. Interment will take place at Laurel Lawn Cemetery in Upper Deerfield Twp. Friends will be received at the church from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM prior to the services.
