Charles O. Lohmeyer, 93, of Alloway Twp. passed away on Monday, February 25, 2019 at the Samaritan Center at Voorhees.

 

Born in Alloway Twp. to the late George E. Lohmeyer and Mary Korenko Lohmeyer, he was the husband of the late Florence Caserta Lohmeyer. Charles had been a lifetime resident of Alloway Twp.

 

At 93 years old, Charles had still owned and operated Lohmeyer Stone and Sand Company in Woodstown. He had also farmed on his own for many years. In his free time, Charles enjoyed tending to his garden. He was a member of Christ Community Baptist Tabernacle in Newfield.

 

He is survived by; three children, Charles Lohmeyer (Pat) of High Point, NC, Robert Lohmeyer (Pat) of Salisbury, NC and Brenda M. Wagner (Andrew) of Sewell; nine grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Besides his wife, Florence, he was preceded in death by two brothers, George W. Lohmeyer and John O. Lohmeyer.

 

Funeral services will be held at Christ Community Baptist Tabernacle, 188 Route 40, Elmer on Monday, March 4th at 11 AM. Interment will take place at Lawnside Cemetery in Woodstown. Friends will be received at the church from 9:30 AM to 11 AM prior to the services. Written condolences can be sent to the family through the funeral home website at www.padgettfuneralhomes.com.
