I heard an old song from the 80’s and it made me think of Pete. I served with him in the Marines in Hawaii and we shared some good times. I visited Pete in New Jersey in the early 90’s and we went to the track and Pete won a race with a trifecta prize. He was always larger than life and full of gusto. When my son joined the service I told him he would meet the best and worst people, Pete was an example of the best.
Should I find myself standing on the yellow footprints at Heaven’s gates, I hope Pete will be there to let me in. Simper Fi.

No one is prepared to lose a loved one in death. We can find true hope and comfort in Gods word the Bible at 2 Corinthians 1:3,4 where it says God is the God of all comfort and tender mercy. I truly hope you find that comfort during this time.

My sincere condolences to Peter’s sons, Diane, family and friends. I remember when Peter was born and how proud his mom, dad and grandmom, Aunt Addie, was when he was born. Peter was too young to be gone so soon. May God comfort all of you at this time of mourning.

My Uncle Pete was a huge influence in my life, in part by directing me toward Baseball. As baseball became such a big part of my life it kept me out of trouble and without him early in my childhood I would have most likely never played baseball. His pride about serving in the military also In part, had some influence in why I joined the military. Now my love of the game was passed on to my sons, and has lead me to being the head coach of a travel baseball team in-wish I teach them not only the game but also how to become good young men. I love making a positive impact on those kids. And in hindsight, without his baseball influence I would not be in the same place. So his impact will have ripples for generations.
May you rest in paradise uncle Pete
