Jean Mary Neff, age 75, of Haleyville died Sunday, July 29, 2012 at Cooper University Hospital in Camden following a 14 month period of declining health. Born in Camden on October 5, 1936 she was the daughter of the late Albert Chard and Sarah Foster Chard and the wife of Pastor William Richard "Dick" Neff. She had lived in Haleyville for the past 10 years and was a Dividing Creek resident prior to that. A member of the Lighthouse Baptist Church in Upper Deerfield Township, she enjoyed cooking and canning. In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons, William Michael Neff and his wife Betty of Millville and Joseph H. Rafferty of Haleyville; a sister, Sally Tomlin of Franklinville and 9 grandchildren including Michael W. Neff who resided with his grandparents. She was predeceased by a sister, Ida Pobanz and a brother, Albert Chard. Funeral services will be held at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway 77, Upper Deerfield Township on Thursday, August 2nd at 11 AM. Burial will take place at Haleyville Methodist Cemetery in Commercial Township. Friends will be received at the funeral home on Wednesday evening from 6 to 8 PM.
