Obituary of Michael A Brantley, Sr.

Michael A. Brantley, 63, of Fairfield Twp. passed away unexpectedly at Inspira Medical Center in Vineland on Wednesday, December 5, 2018.

Born in New York City, NY to the late Michael Morales and Christina Brantley, he was the husband of Jean A. Kelly Brantley. Michael had moved to Trenton in 1968 and in the mid-1970's he relocated to Fairfield Twp. where he lived for the rest of his life.

He had been most recently employed through the Millville Housing Authority and the YMCA as a trainer. He was a long time member of the Wheels of Soul. He had been formerly employed by; Hunt's in Bridgeton, Elwell's Waste Management, Media Stack as a Machinist, Anchor Hocking Glass Co. and Redpack. As a fitness aficionado, Michael had also worked as a trainer at many local gyms. He was a member of Mount Calvary Missionary Baptist Church in Bridgeton.

He is survived by; his wife, Jean Brantley of Fairfield Twp.; three children, Angela Jenise Jackson of District Heights, MD, Michael Brantley, Jr. of Fairfield Twp. and Chris Brantley of Bridgeton; a brother, William Brantley; 11 grandchildren, Michael J., III, Mekhi, Mi'shawn, Mykell, Marshawn, Mi'cier, Jaycion, Mi'angel, Christopher T. and Cincere and an Aunt, Ruth. He was preceded in death by; his sister, Larniece Brantley and his father figure, Manning Hazzard.

Funeral services will be held at Union Baptist Temple, 30 Martin Luther King, Jr. Way, Bridgeton on Friday, December 14th at 11 AM. Interment will take place at Gouldtown Memorial Park in Fairfield Twp. Friends will be received at the church from 9 AM to 11 AM prior to the services.
