Obituary of Gary T. Earnest

Gary T. Earnest, Sr., 67, of Bridgeton died unexpectedly at his home on Saturday, November 17, 2018. 

Born in Bridgeton and a lifetime resident, he was the husband of Sherry McDermott Earnest and the son of the late John F. Earnest, Sr. and Rose Dellaquilla Earnest. 

A Bridgeton High School Class of 1969 graduate, he was currently employed with Sorantino Produce in Vineland as a truck driver where he had worked for the past seven years.

A Veteran of the United States Marine Corps, Gary served his country during the Vietnam Conflict. 

Gary’s greatest love was for his family and their well being his greatest concern.

In addition to his wife, Sherry, he is survived by his two sons, Gary T. Earnest, Jr. of West Chester, PA and Brian M. Earnest of Bridgeton; his brother and sister, John F. Earnest, Jr. of Upper Deerfield Township and Peggy Earnest of Newport and four granddaughters. 

Funeral services will be held at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway 77, Upper Deerfield Township on Saturday, November 24^th at 11 AM.  Friends will be received from 10 to 11 AM prior to the services.  Interment will take place at Cumberland County Veterans Cemetery in Hopewell Township.  The family asks that contributions in Gary's memory be made to a trust fund for his grandchildren c/o Century Bank, 53 Cornwell Drive, Bridgeton, NJ  08302.  Written condolences can be sent to the family at www.padgettfuneralhomes.com.
