Obituary of Edith "Gran" M. Sheppard

Edith M. “Gran” Sheppard, 86, of Bridgeton passed away on Friday, October 12, 2018 at her home under the care of hospice and surrounded by her family.

Born in Bridgeton to the late Daniel Husted and Alice McClain Husted, she was the wife of the late Stanton B. "Shep" Sheppard and had been a resident of Bridgeton all her life.

In her free time Gran enjoyed spending time with her family and in the kitchen. Gran was known as a kitchen connoisseur to most. She will be remembered for her delicious food and especially her famous strawberry shortcake.

She is survived by her two children, a son, Bill Beck and his wife Annelie of Bridgeton; a daughter, Bonnie Beck of Vineland; a brother, Jack Husted and his wife, Barb of Bridgeton; grandchildren, Ashlea, William, Freddie, Stefan, Krissie, Brian, Erin, Nicole, Justin; and several great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by; a daughter, Edith Callahan and two brothers, Daniel Husted and Ted Husted.
