Obituary of Paul "Buck" Wirsing
Paul J. “Buck” Wirsing, 62, of Bridgeton passed away on Friday, October 12, 2018 following a brief illness.
Born in Bridgeton to Otto A. Wirsing, Jr. and the late Faye Cooke Wirsing, he was a lifetime resident of Bridgeton and Upper Deerfield Twp.
Paul had worked as a tax preparer for Joan W. Halter, CPA in Mullica Hill for four years. Prior to that, he had worked at Atlantic Drives and Bearings in Vineland for over 30 years. Paul was an avid fan of the Philadelphia Eagles and played softball in numerous local leagues most notably on the Championship Joyces Nursery team. In his free time, he enjoyed; golfing, fishing, tomato and pepper gardening, bowling and debating politics. Paul was a member of the 5th Ward Athletic Club in Bridgeton.
He is survived by; his father and step-mother, Otto and Karen Wirsing, Jr. of Upper Deerfield Twp.; his siblings, Sharon Williams and her husband, Robert of North Port, FL, Joan Halter and her husband, Mike of Upper Deerfield Twp. and Brett Waller and his wife, Staycee of Williamstown and three nieces, Danyelle Waller of Williamstown, Grace Halter and Cassidy Waller. He was preceded in death by his mother, Faye Wirsing.
Funeral services will be held at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway 77, Upper Deerfield Twp. on Wednesday, October 17th at 2 PM. Interment will take place at Laurel Lawn Cemetery in Upper Deerfield Twp. Friends will be received at the funeral home from 1 PM to 2 PM prior to the services.
