Gregory A. Hamidy, 56, of Upper Deerfield Township passed away on Tuesday, October 2, 2018 at Inspira Medical Center in Vineland. 

The husband of Julie Raines Hamidy and the son of the late Joseph Hamidy and Kathleen Burris Hamidy he was born in Bridgeton and had been an Upper Deerfield Township resident for the past 21 years.  Before that he had lived in Fairton and Bridgeton. 

Greg was a trim and finish carpenter by trade.  He had been both self employed and had also worked for Boyle Construction in Sea Isle City. 

He was an avid motorcyclist and had volunteered as an umpire with the North Cumberland Little League.

In addition to his wife, Julie, he is survived by his two children, Amanda Hamidy and Joseph Hamidy both of Bridgeton; a sister, SueEllen Sicilia of TN and seven grandchildren, Gabrielle, Jaxson, Hailey, Jayden, Brooke, Paige and Leigha.  He was predeceased by a sister, Janice Allison. 

Funeral services will be held at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway 77, Upper Deerfield Township on Monday, October 8th at 11 AM.  Friends will be received at the funeral home from 10 to 11 AM prior to the services.  Written condolences can be sent to the family at www.padgettfuneralhomes.com.
