Obituary of Macey Mae Massie

Macey Mae Massie, 92 of Bridgeton passed away peacefully on Monday, September 3, 2018 at the Genesis Healthcare-Millville Center.

Born in Waynesville, NC to the late Jeff Chandler and Hellen Sarah Hampton Chandler, she was the wife of the late Rev. Wilburn V. Massie. Macey had been a resident of the Bridgeton area since the mid 1950's and prior to that she had lived in NC.

Macey had been a homemaker but had also assisted in her husband's ministry work for many years at their church, Norma Freewill Baptist Church in Norma. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the staff of Genesis Healthcare-Millville Center for the loving care they provided to their mother.

She is survived by; her daughter, Linda Elbertson of Millville; two sons, Jerry Massie and his wife, Dale of Millville and Will Massie and his wife, Michelle of Concord, NC; three grandchildren, Heather, Amanda and Shi-Ann; two great grandchildren, Kaitlynn and Brantlee and a brother, Tom Chandler. She was preceded in death by; her husband, Rev. Wilburn V. Massie.

Funeral services will be held at the PADGETT FUNRERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway 77, Upper Deerfield Twp. on Friday, September 7th at 11 AM. Interment will take place at Olivet Cemetery in Pittsgrove Twp. Friends will be received at the funeral home from 10 AM to 11 AM prior to the services.
