Obituary of Isiah R. Sample

Isiah R. Sample, Sr. 66, of Harrington, DE passed away unexpectedly after being ill at work on Friday, August 24, 2018 at Memorial Hospital in Salem.

Born in Acomac County, VA to the late John Sample and Maybell Pratt Sample, he was the husband of Kathleen M. Pierce Sample. Isiah had been a resident of Harrington, DE since 1996 and had lived in Upper Deerfield Twp. prior to that.

Isiah was a retired butcher and truck driver but was still volunteering as a truck driver through the summer months with Bravo Packing in Carney's Point. In his free time, he was an avid fisherman and enjoyed photography and motorcycling. Most of all Isiah loved helping people.

He is survived by; his wife, Kathleen M. Sample of Harrington, DE; six children, Isaac Sample, Sr., Tonyette Sample, Joshua Sample, Sr., Isiah Sample II, Atoya Sample and Jamila McCloud; a sister, Rose Reed; 12 grandchildren including JayJay who lived with him and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by; two brothers, John Sample and Robert Sample, Sr. and a sister, Linda Taylor.

Funeral services will be held at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway 77, Upper Deerfield Twp. on Saturday, September 1st at 11 AM.
