Obituary of Robert V. Shafer

Robert V. Shafer, 72, of Hopewell Township passed away on Wednesday, August 22, 2018 at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. 

The husband of Janice Rodgers Shafer, he was born in Iona and was the son of the late Thomas Shafer and Clara Wingate Shafer.  He had been a Hopewell Township resident for eight years and had lived in Fairfield Township and Millville prior to that. 

Before his retirement, Robert had been employed as a forklift operator with Courier Systems and Val Mode Lingerie in Bridgeton.

In addition to his wife Janice, he is survived by three sons, Robert Shafer, Jr., and his wife, Deb of Cedarville, Michael Shafer, his wife Jennifer and thier children, Michael Jr, and Mikayla of Millville and Brian Shafer of Hopewell Township and five sisters, Roberta, Margaret, Ethel, Dorothy and Emma.  He was predeceased by a sister, Edna and five brothers, Andrew, George, Chester, Frank and Daniel.
