Obituary of Esther E. Nyberg

Esther E. Nyberg, age 90, of Lower Alloways Creek Township passed away at home under the care of her family and hospice on Friday, August 10, 2018. 

The daughter of the late James Henry Johnson and Sarah Reba Pritchet Johnson, she was the wife of the late James Robert Nyberg.  She had lived in Fairton in her younger years and spent most of her life in Upper Deerfield Township until moving to Lower Alloways Creek to live with her daughter Barbara. 

Before her retirement, Esther had been employed with Seabrook Brothers and Sons in Upper Deerfield Township for over ten years.  Previous to that she had worked at the former Jersey Packaging Company in Bridgeton.

A member of First Wesleyan Church in Upper Deerfield Township, she enjoyed sewing, knitting, spending time with her family and friends and volunteering at the Maranatha Baptist Church Grade School.

She is survived by her daughter, Barbara “Barbie” ; her son-in-law, Carlton “Rusty” ; grandchildren, Brittany Keen, Kaitlin Keen and Carlton “Rowdy”  Keen all of Lower Alloways Creek and  three sisters, Katherine Coombs, Olive Edminster and Marguerite Johnson.  She was preceded in death by a sister, Eleanor Cuff and a brother, James Johnson. 

Graveside funeral services will be held at Fernwood Memorial Park in Hopewell Township on Wednesday, August 15th at 11 AM where the interment will follow the services.  Arrangements are under the direction of the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, Upper Deerfield Township.  Written condolences can be sent to the family at www.padgettfuneralhomes.com
