Obituary of Stacey R. Russell

            Stacey R. Russell, 41, of Bridgeton died unexpectedly on Thursday, August 2, 2018 at Cooper University Hospital in Camden following a brief illness.

            Born in Bridgeton to the late Roosevelt Stubbs and Jacqueline Russell, he was a Bridgeton resident all of his life.

            Stacey had been employed at the Bridgeton McDonalds location for several years in management. He had been previously employed at the Bridgeton location of Kentucky Fried Chicken for over 14 years. In his free time, he loved to go fishing and crabbing. His family described Stacey as person who loved to make people laugh and he enjoyed playing practical jokes on his friends and family.

            He is survived by three children, Jazmere Russell of Millville, Nyreek Russell of Bridgeton and Khalil Brown of Bridgeton; five siblings, Maurice Russell of Dover, DE, Michael Russell and his wife, Rowena of Philadelphia, Tracey Russell of Bridgeton, Willie Jones of Millville and Krystal Johnson of Dover, DE; his long-time companion, Latoya Smith of Bridgeton; his favorite niece, Ty-asia “ugly face” Minter; a sister-in-law, Rashee Byers of Millville and a brother-in-law, Terence Dawkins of Bridgeton. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Ziaira Russell and his parents, Roosevelt Stubbs, Jacqueline Russell and Willie Jones, Jr.

            Funeral Services will be held at Union Baptist Temple, 30 Martin Luther King, Jr. Way, Bridgeton on Friday, August 17^th at 11 AM. Interment will take place at Cedar Hill Memorial Park in Hopewell Twp. Friends will be received at the church from 9 AM to 11 AM prior to the services.
