Obituary of Cordelia Frances Henry

Cordelia Frances Henry, 71, of Bridgeton died on Friday, July 27, 2018 at Inspira Medical Center in Vineland.

Born in Bridgeton to the late Rev. James Thompson and Carrie Johnson Thompson, she was the wife of the late Berty Henry. Cordelia had been a lifetime resident of the Bridgeton area.

Prior to her retirement in 2009, she had been employed at the Cumberland Manor as a CNA. Cordelia had also been previously employed by the former Newcomb Hospital in Vineland and the former Bridgeton Nursing Center. She had also worked as a private duty caregiver. Cordelia was a member of New Hope Baptist Church in Cedarville.

She is survived by; five children, Carlene Henry of Vineland, Annette Thompson of DE, Anthony Thompson of Glassboro, Alex Henry of Bridgeton and Isaiah Cross of Vineland; a brother, Ed “Jr” Mitchell; 10 grandchildren and six great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Berty Henry.

Funeral services will be held at New Hope Baptist Church, 47 Schaffer Ave., Cedarville on Saturday, August 4th at 11 AM. Interment will take place at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Cedarville.
