He was married to Kim Baker on February 14, 1993 and from this union they were blessed with two sons, Glenn and Jeremiah Baker.

Glenn was drafted into the United States Army and served from 1968-1970 and was discharged honorably. He then went on to start his career with the Department of Labor where from he retired after 32 years of service.

Glenn attended the First Nazarene Baptist Church in Camden for over 25 years where he was a very active member and served as a trustee.

He was an avid writer and poet and he received many awards and honors from groups such as Veterans' Voices and the Catholic War Veterans of Washington, DC. Glenn enjoyed telling jokes and you could always count on him to send you texts and emails of scriptures from the bible daily. One of his favorite scriptures was Jeremiah 17:14.
