Obituary of Cosmo A. Terrigno

            Well known local businessman Cosmo A. Terrigno, 66, of Upper Deerfield Township passed away unexpectedly at the Inspira Medical Center Emergency Room in Vineland on Wednesday, June 27, 2018. 

            The husband of Roselinda “Linda” Montana Terrigno, he was born in Bronx, NY and was the son of the late Angelo Terrigno and Anna Zannella Terrigno.  He had been an Upper Deerfield Township resident for 42 years and had lived in Bridgeton prior to that. 

            Cosmo was a veteran of the United States Army stationed in Italy and served his country during the Vietnam Conflict.  He was a member of the Bridgeton High School Class of 1971 and an active member of the class reunion committee. 

He owned and operated Terrigno’s Fairfield Inn along with his wife Linda and his son Michael.  He had previously owned and operated Terrigno’s Deli, Cosi’s Place and Carmel Discount Liquors.

In addition to his wife, Linda he is survived by his son, Michael A. Terrigno and his wife Melissa of Deerfield Township; his daughter, Jennifer Terrigno-Sheppard of Philadelphia; grandchildren, Dante, Peter and Abigail and Lisa Titzer and her Husband Todd of IN whom he considered a daughter and her children whom he thought of as his grandchildren, Nicole and James; two sisters, his twin, Mary Cesta and her husband Ed and Nancy Mendolera.  He was predeceased by his brother, Antonio D. “Tony” Terrigno, an infant sister, Cora Terrigno and his brother in law, Anthony Mendolera.

Public memorial services will be announced at a later date.  At Cosmo’s request private services were to be held at the convenience of the family.  In lieu of flowers the family asks the contributions in his memory be made to either the St. Vincent de Paul Society, Parish of the Holy Cross, 46 Central Ave., Bridgeton, NJ  or to the Upper Deerfield Twp. Fire Department # 3, 69 Cornwell Drive, Bridgeton, NJ 08302.  Arrangements are under the direction of the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, Upper Deerfield Township.  Written condolences can be sent to the family at www.padgettfuneralhomes.com.
