Obituary of Marie Ray-Worts
“I fought the good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith.” II Timothy 4:7.

On June 24, 2018 God echoed her name and Marie's spirit took flight home. Marie was born on December 22, 1925 in Sylvester, Georgia to the late Simon and Alice Watson-Anderson. Marie was educated in the Sylvester School System. She joined Macedonia Baptist Church at an early age and was baptized by the late Rev. Sherman Jordan. As a young woman she lived in Ashburn and later moved back to Sylvester prior to going to Belle Glade, FL where she met and married Moses Ray. She later moved to NJ prior to 1951.
She retired from Southland Foods after many years of service. Maria was a member and served on the Usher Board as President at First Baptist Church on Northville Road in Bridgeton, NJ for many years.
