Obituary of Jennie L. Wildin

Jennie L. Wildin, 84, of Hopewell Twp. passed away unexpectedly at Inspira Medical Center-Vineland on Friday, June 1, 2018.

 

Born in Philadelphia, PA to the late Robert Reed and Minnie Chatman Reed, she was the wife of George W. Wildin, Sr. Jennie had spent several childhood years in South Philadelphia until moving to Millville. She had resided in Millville, Vineland, Arizona and Bridgeton before living in Hopewell Twp. for the past five years.

 

Prior to her retirement, Jennie had worked for West Company in Millville for many years. She had also been employed as a teacher's aide at Marantha Baptist School, a bus driver for Sheppard's Bus Service and at Levick's glass at the Millville Airport. She was a member of Maranatha Baptist Church and served in their Awana program for many years. In her free time, Jennie enjoyed making crafts and jewelry, camping and spending time with her family. She had also served as “Lollipop the Dragon” and several church events.

 

She is survived by; her husband, George W. Wildin, Sr. of Hopewell Twp.; five children, George Wildin, Jr. of Saucier, CO, Richard Wildin and his wife, Susan of Mississippi, William Wildin and his wife, Barbara of Millville, Roger Wildin of Vineland and Barbara Smith and her husband, Les of Bridgeton; two sisters, Helen Rugg of Cape May and Dorothy James of Millville and 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by; two brothers, Tom Reed and John Reed; two sisters, Marge Hooven and Florence “Meme” Haynes and a daughter-in-law Diana Wildin.

 

Funeral services will be held at Maranatha Baptist Church, 1524 Bridgeton Millville Pike, Millville on Saturday, June 9th at 1 PM. Friends will be received at the church from 11AM to 1 PM prior to the services. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations in Jennie's memory be made to Maranatha Baptist Church, 1524 Bridgeton Millville Pike, Millville, NJ 08332.
