Obituary of Ella B. Brown

            Ella B. Brown, 71, of Pittsgrove passed away on Tuesday, May 15, 2018 at her home under the care of hospice and her family.

            Born in Bridgeton to the late Garland Grooms and Bebe Hall Grooms, she was the wife of Clay Brown. Ella had lived in Pittsgrove for the past 11 years and prior to that she had resided in North Carolina.

            She had been employed as a secretary for many years with Montgomery Insurance Company in Biscoe, NC. She was a member of Maranatha Baptist Church in Millville. Ella deeply loved being with her family and grandchildren. In her free time, she enjoyed baking, doing things for the church and going out to dinner with her husband. She also enjoyed spending time outdoors bird watching and reading her bible.

            Besides her husband Clay, she is survived by four children, Tammy Wilson of Pittsgrove, Michael Phillips of Bridgeton, Sam Brown of Elmer and Elizabeth Phillips and her husband, David of Pittsgrove; a brother, Tom Grooms of NC; a sister, Dolores Franklin of Millville; ten grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, John Grooms.

            Funeral services will be held at Maranatha Baptist Church, 1524 Bridgeton-Millville Pike, Millville on Sunday, May 20^th at 3 PM. Interment will take place at Centerton Free Will Baptist Cemetery in Pittsgrove Twp. Friends will be received at the church from 2 PM to 3 PM prior to the service.
