Obituary of Jessie D. Holman

Jessie D. Holman, age 78, of Fairfield Township died early Tuesday morning, June 26, 2012 at her daughter Faye's home in Upper Deerfield Township where she had been staying recently during her illness. She had been in declining health for the past year. She was born on June 21, 1934 in Dacula, Georgia and was the daughter of the late James M. Harrison and Maude Holland Harrison and the wife of the late O.D. Holman. She had lived in Fairfield Township since 1973 and resided in Bridgeton prior to that. Before her retirement in 1980 she had been employed at the Venice Maid Company in Vineland for 21 years. Jessie was an avid gardener and loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and family. Surviving are four daughters, Kathy Delp, Judy Hamb and Faye Craner all of Upper Deerfield Township and Sherry Farside of Vineland; a son, Jerry Holman of Fairfield Township; a brother, Perry Harrison of Auburn, GA; two sisters, Bessie Connors of Tucker, GA and Evelyn Roebuck of Auburn, GA and her companion with whom she resided, Ed Carey. She was predeceased by a son, Ray Holman, a daughter, Debbie Holman, a brother, J.M. Harrison and five sisters, Lou Ester Patrick, Winnie Payne, Annie Wood, Berthel Elthridge and Ruth Bayard. Funeral services will be held at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway # 77, Upper Deerfield Township on Friday, June 29th at 10 AM. Burial will take place at Fernwood Memorial Park in Hopewell Township. Friends will be received at the funeral home on Thursday evening from 6 to 8 PM.
